Hey Spud Heads!
I recently went back to Peter Pan Donut & Pastry Shop to get a box of assorted donuts. I asked you all to vote on the top 3 donuts you'd want to see reviewed. While the voting was extremely close, the 3 winners were Apple Crumb, Coconut Creme, and French Toast.
Apple Crumb

YO. This was probably one of the best donuts I've ever tasted. If you've ever had a 2 for $1 apple pie from McDonalds when you were drunk (Key Word:Drunk), you'd know how amazing the crust is, how warm, and how delicious the filling was. This donut was better than that! Soft donut, amazing crumb on top, and the filling was near perfection.
Coconut Creme

You know those memes that say people are really attractive in the club when the lights are off, but look completely different with the lights on? Yea, this donut. Don't get me wrong, it was actually pretty solid, but not good enough to be on this list. The inside was a plain creme filling that was okay at best.....the top was your standard coconut flakes which saved this donut.
French Toast

With the MOST votes, the winner was the French Toast donut! Too bad the donut was terrible. I was expecting a Cinnamon Toast Crunch type of donut (don't judge me, you know you were too...that's why ya voted for it). What I got was an old fashioned donut with toasted coconut flakes on top. To be fair, they did tell me it was toasted coconut flakes on top, but I thought, "sweet, that should elevate the donut". I was more disappointed than a Sound Cloud rapper's mother.
*Peter Pan Donut & Pastry Shop has been in business for years, and they honestly know how to make donuts. The flavors of the Bavarian Cream, Jelly, and S'mores were incredible, BUT you guys chose these 3 above. This review is based on the 3 above, and while the Apple Crumb was great, it wasn't enough to carry the load of the mediocre/pretty okay Coconut Creme and the disappointment of the French Toast Donut.
3 Potatoes! Crinkle Cut!
